Ship Design and Maintenance Computer Program. Hydro Plot (Ship Hydrostatics with Plotter Routine),

Abstract

Given station half-breadths at evenly spaced waterlines, Hydroplot calculates over a series of drafts the values defining the hydrostatic curves of form, Bonjean's curves, and form coefficients. Simpson's Rule of Integration is used for vertical and longitudinal integration. At the option of the user, the calculated values of hydrostatics and form coefficients are plotted and curve fitted. The spline fit method is used. Results are comparable to a draftman's hand drawn fit. (Author)
