New Aromatic Polyimide-Co-Amides,

Abstract

A series of ten new polyimide-co-amides were prepared by low temperature solution condensations of two aromatic diacid chlorides containing preformed imide rings with various diamines. The polymers obtained by this synthetic route had excellent thermal and solution properties and could easily be converted into films, fibers and coatings. (Author)
