Cost-Estimating Relations for Conventional Military Vehicle Engines and Transmissions.

Abstract

Cost-estimating relations were developed for several classes of military engines and transmissions using linear regression techniques. Engines and transmissions were stratified into several basic design classes to ensure sample homogeneity. In general the CERs developed provide reasonable cost estimates for conventional military engines and transmissions. In using these CERs to predict the cost of newly designed engines or transmissions, proceed with caution. (Author)
