Conference on the Technology of New Nuclear Materials Including Fuel Elements, Prague, 1-5 July 1963,

Abstract

A conference on new nuclear materials sponsored by the International Agency for Atomic Energy (MAAE) was held in Prague, 1-5 July 1963. More than 75 papers dealing with production of new nuclear fuels and cladding materials were presented. The majority of the reports dealt with sintered uranium dioxide (UO2) and uranium carbides; the rest were devoted to uranium nitrides, silicides, beryllides and ceramic fuels (UC-U, UN-U, UO2-U).
