Impact Machine for Dynamic Tests of Aircraft Landing Gears,

Abstract

The article describes a sophisticated impact machine which simulates very closely conditions at landing; its measuring systems permit registering loads and stresses at 12 points of the undercarriage undergoing tests. Eight other important factors are registered by accelerographs and pressure-sensing devices. The methods applied for calculation of individual components of the machine and some design problems which had to be solved are outlined. (Author)
