LF/VLF Propagation Analysis Computer Program Documentation.
Abstract
This report describes a propagation loss model in the LF and VLF frequency range for the RADC Interference Prediction Computer Program. The RADC Interference Prediction Program (IPP-1) is a collection of computer routines written in FORTRAN IV used to predict the potential interference of electronic equipment in an electromagnetic environment. The digital computer program was developed to predict the propagation losses at frequencies between 3 and 300 kHz. Due to the various inadequacies concerning ionospheric data along desired paths and the lack of propagation data on a world wide basis, this program was developed to take advantage of any or all information available to the analyst. The computer program developed under this effort is quite large in that it occupies approximately 45,000 locations in the GE 635/645 computer system. Shortened specialized versions of this are possible to construct because of the modular subroutines with block common. (Author)
