Location of the Differential Rectification in the Production of Maps and Plans,

Abstract

Account is given in outline for the expediency of applying differential rectification methods for map and plan plotting. A number of suggestions are made on the technical processes to be followed with this new plotting method. Further, the article deals with the application of automatic equipment for drawing profile droplines, which in combination with differential rectification permit the simultaneous plotting of situation and height. The paper ends up with the results of a variety of tasks carried out with the Stereotrigomat system of the VEB Carl Zeiss Jena and the experiences fathered during the work.
