The Role of Chloride Particles of Maritime and Continental Origin in the Formation of the Chloride Content of Precipitation,

Abstract

Data on the chloride particle content of maritime and continental air masses and on their changes in distribution by size with height were the basic data used to estimate the chloride content of raindrops of various sizes. The difference between the calculated and observed amounts did not exceed one order of magnitude, which was attributed to droplet evaporation. (Author)
