Proof Testing of the BRU-4/A Bomb Rack

Abstract

The BRU-4/A is a modification of the MAU-12B/A universal bomb ejection rack. The modification consists of replacing aluminum sideplates by steel sideplates, strengthening the sway brace arms, and retrofitting higher strength shackles. The purpose of this testing was to determine if the BRU-4/A bomb rack could withstand certain specified F-111 flight loads.
