Distribution of Electron Density with Consideration of the Bedded Structure of the Ionosphere,

Abstract

A further improvement of a method for deriving the profile N(z) and including its F1-layer is described. Physical bases for the method used include the profile continuity, absence of a shift in Vz, and diffusion processes in the boundary regions. Application of this method is described in which the test data show a 'valley' between the E-layer and F-region where the electron-density force comprises 83% of the NmE maximum.
