Comparison of Shear Strength Measurements with the Laboratory Vane Shear and Fall-Cone Devices.

Abstract

Strength values measured with laboratory vane shear and fall-cone devices were compared. Approximately 100 shear strength tests were made on sections of cores from the following areas: Hudson Canyon, Hatteras Abyssal Plain, Mississippi Delta, and Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho. (Author)
