Impressions of Aeronautics and Fluid Mechanics in Sweden and Denmark,

Abstract

The report describes liaison visits to the Aeronautical Research Institute of Sweden (FFA); to SAAB Aktiebolog, the airframe manufacturer and prime contractor for the Viggen System-37 airborne weapons system; and to Svenska Flygmotor Aktiebolaget, the jet engine manufacturer. Technical institutes visited in Sweden were the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Chalmers University of Technology and Lund Institute of Technology. The Technical University of Denmark and the Hydro/Aerodynamics Laboratory in Copenhagen were also visited. (Author)
