Assault Trackway Systems.

Abstract

The purpose of the evaluation was to determine and compare the suitability of aluminum and plastic assault trackway systems in tactical operations in the Republic of Vietnam. The evaluation was limited to the 1st, 9th, and 25th Infantry Divisions located in the Delta Plain where the trackways were principally used to improve the trafficability of base camp and perimeter roads; operational use was very limited.
