Integrated and Centralized Information System of the Soviet Union,
Abstract
A new and centralized system of scientific and technical information is being built up in the Soviet Union on the various branches of sciences and techniques. An All-Union Scientific and Technical Information Center is being set up for registering completed research work and planned research work. The spheres of activity of the national, branch, and regional scientific and technical information centers and other bodies alike will be considerably increased, and their procedural guidance will be the task of the State Scientific and Technical Committee at the Council of Ministers USSR. The system of selective information services which renders information without waiting for the actual demands, will increase the responsibility of information centers to provide in time full and complete data.
