Initial Production Test of Crane, Rough Terrain, 20-Ton (Modified).

Abstract

The Initial Production Test of Crane, Rough Terrain, 20-Ton (Modified) was conducted by the US Army Armor and Engineering Board at Fort Knox, Kentucky, from May 1967 to June 1968. The test objectives were to determine the adequacy and maintainability characteristics of new production cranes complete with factory-installed modifications, and the adequacy of all associated operational and maintenance manuals. Testing consisted of a mixture of functional operations extended to accumulate a carrier total of 6.528 miles (613.5 test hours) and a superstructure total of 241.3 test hours.
