Research to Determine the Effects of Surface Catalycity on Materials Behavior in Dissociated Gas Streams.

Abstract

A preliminary report is given on evaluating the reactions of oxygen atoms with graphite surfaces at temperatures up to 3000K and pressures of 10-700 torr which gives information on the heat transfer process on reentry vehicles.
