Decelerating Systems,

Abstract

The book presents a description of the properties of decelerating systems in shf cathode ray devices with long term interaction of the electron beam and the traveling wave field. General problems of the propagation of traveling waves in decelerating structures are analyzed, and the primary electrodynamic characteristics of various types of decelerating systems are described: spiral, rod, comb-shaped systems, systems with concentrated parameters, chains of three-dimensional resonators, as well as certain special types of decelerating systems. Methods are described for theoretical and experimental investigation of decelerating systems and the measurement of their principal parameters.
