Abstract

The paper reports on the study by the Air Force Logistics Command on the economic benefits in the logistics system, relative to the shipment of materiel to overseas bases by sealift and airlift, during the early 1970 time period. All distribution costs were to be considered, as well as the advancements in technology and logistics management.
