Design and Analysis of a 45-Inch Diameter Cryogenic Test Facility,
Abstract
This document contains the design and analysis data for a spherical 45-inch diameter cryogenic test tank to be used in evaluating the thermal characteristics of high performance insulation systems. The tank is designed to be entirely supported by and serviced through a thin walled vent line which connects the 45-inch tank to a 52-inch diameter vacuum shell. The design of and method of fabrication for a representative high performance insulation scheme is also provided. (Author)
