An Optical Frequency Propagation Technique for Measuring Fine Scale Structure in the Turbulent Atmosphere.

Abstract

The work presents the development and demonstration of a propagation technique for investigating fine scale structure of turbulent atmospheric flows. The theoretical basis for the technique is found in extant expressions for the covariance of the logarithmic amplitude of an electromagnetic wave propagated through a random medium consisting of weak inhomogeneities.
