A Preamplifier for Semiconductor Radiation Detectors,

Abstract

The article presents the circuits of two preamplifiers for semiconductors using E180F and E88CC tubes (triodes and pentodes, respectively). They were developed for use with p-i-n detectors of simple beta radiation. The chosen tubes are easily available and have a low noise factor. The E180F preamplifier is designed for basic measuring purposes the other, with the E88CC tube in the probe, is designed for clinical application.
