Study of Simulated Shipboard Communications System Standardization.

Abstract

The primary objective of the study reported herein is to develop criteria for standard system requirements and design parameters for future simulated shipboard communications systems. These criteria are based on investigations of existing systems, study and analysis of trainer devices communications systems, networks, and the results of related experimental investigations. The resultant of this study is a breadboard model communications system to demonstrate performance and operation of major elements of the simulated system, and a 'limited coordination military specification' for use in procurement of approved communications equipment.
