The Tensile Properties of Some Structural Materials in the Temperature Range 293 K to 20 K: Part 2, Aluminium Alloy Sheet D74S WP

Abstract

The tensile properties of the aluminium alloy sheet D74S WP have been measured at temperatures of 293, 77 and 20 K. Plain and notched specimens from the longitudinal and transverse directions of the sheet were tested. The results indicate that the alloy can be used in structures operating at temperatures down to 77 K.
