Flexible and Rigid Systems for the Distribution of Freezable Liquids at Low Temperatures.

Abstract

The technical note presents the results of a feasibility study of electrically heat-traced hose, and the results of a low-temperature evaluation of a commercial piping system with preapplied electric heat-tracing elements, insulations and protective outer cover. The latter work included assembly at -30F and tests of the heat-tracing system at temperatures to -45F. (Author)
