A Comparative Evaluation of the 7.62MM and 5.56MM, G-3 Assault Rifles

Abstract

A test was conducted with 7.62mm and 5.56mm, G-3 Assault Rifles to evaluate and compare the kinematics, reliability, safety features, physical characteristics, recoil impulse, rates of fire, projectile velocities, muzzle motion and accuracy of the weapons. No serious problems were detected during the tests and the reliability of the weapons was comparable.
