Abstract

The purpose of the contract was to develop a cathode ray tube suitable for tactical field use. Among the characteristics sought were: improved deflection efficiency, ruggedized tube structure, reduced depth-to-diameter ratio, and reduced mounted weight, without sacrificing desired performance characteristics.
