Sperm Whale Acoustic Characteristic Measurements from the ASWEPS aircraft

Abstract

Target strengths of a target believed to be a sperm whale, Physeter catodon, were measured. Source level measurements of echolocation clicks are presented together with sonograms and descriptions of three different types of sounds recorded.
