Reliable Flat Cable Connector.
Abstract
The purpose of this program is to develop a reliable flat cable connector by: (1) Selecting four types of available cable conductor-connector contact interface designs most capable of meeting military ground level environments. (2) designing a statistical test and developing a computer program to automatically evaluate the various conductor-connector contact interface design concepts selected in 1 above, and (3) developing or selecting a connector which employs the best features selected in 2 above; then evaluating and testing it to determine that it will survive full military ground level environments.
