Seventh in a series of German editions of Spravochnik po matematike, the first of which was based on the Russian Sixth Edition in 1958, this work is designed to serve as a field reference in aid of student and practicing engineers and others who encounter the need to perform numerical calculations. The subject matter in volume one is organized as follows: Part I, Tables; Part II, Elementary Mathematics (chapters on approximate calculations, algebra, geometry, trigonometry); Part III, Analytical and Differential Geometry; Part IV, Fundamentals of Analysis, including differential equations.
