Two-Dimensional Flat-Earth Trajectory Computer Program.

Abstract

This technical report describes a two-dimensional, flat-earth trajectory computer program written in FORTRAN IV. The report is intended to serve as a complete user's manual and includes a description of the program structure and capabilities, a sample input and output, a FORTRAN IV listing, and derivations of important equations. The program was specifically designed to evaluate the performance of air-launched missiles using advanced solid propellant motors. Eight thrust options are available including throttling with variable throat area and burning area. Nine basic guidance options are available. The trajectory is divided into sections in which different options of ending parameter, thrust, and guidance can be used. (Author)
