Reliability Study, Atlas Tank Fragmentation System for "F" R and D Missiles

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to present a reliability analysis based on the application of available data for the re-evaluation of critical reliabilities in the modified design of the tank fragmentation system for Atlas "F" R and D missiles. This covers reliability considerations of probability of retro-rockets firing, probability of proper fragment detonation, probability of inadvertent premature fragmentation detonation, probability of no re-entry vehicle-fragment collision, and reliability testing.
