Filtration of Boiler Water During Operation,

Abstract

Steel wool and magnetized steel-wool filters were investigated experimentally and found to effectively remove magnetite (Fe304), as well as some of the nonmagnetic boiler water solid contaminants. The chemical and mechanical stability of this filter medium should make it applicable for use with boiler water at up to 1200 psia. (Author)
