Crystal Chemistry Studies.
Abstract
Crystals have been grown of CdF2:YF3. When treated in Cd, Zn, or Ca vapor they become blue and conducting. Optical spectra and electron probe measurements have been made. The rare earth titanates not reported previously were synthesized. Crystallographic properties are included in a technical appendix. A further examination was made of the stability of SmO and the hypothetical YbO. (Author)
