Stress Analyses of Pressurized Cylinders.

Abstract

Stress analysis of hydraulic cylinders is discussed. Specifically, the lame solution is treated in detail, the stress concentration effect of a hole in the cylinder wall is analyzed, and the effect of nonuniform wall thickness is examined. In each case, the significant results are presented in graphical form. (Author)
