High Temperature Reaction Kinetics in the Solid State.

Abstract

Studies were conducted to characterize interface reactions between graphite, coatings for graphite, and materials to be used in metal matrix composites. The studies included the measurment and analysis of wetting angles of liquid metals on graphite, the dissolution of carbon, and compound formation. In addition, a structural characterization of RAE fibers was conducted. (Author-PL).
