Operational Ground Support Equipment Plan for 'E' Series Horizontal Concept Strategic Missile Squadrons,
Abstract
This plan establishes and describes the functional requirements of the operational ground support equipment and the associated facility equipment that are required to support the 'E' series missile as applicable to the horizontal, semi-hard, 9x1 unitary squadron concept. The ground support equipment systems described in the plan are typical for the, horizontal concept and do not define the specific requirements that may be peculiar to the individual squadrons. The plan defines the facility and ground support equipment requirements for accomplishing missile inspection, checkout, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, misile countdown and launch. These requirements are described in chronological sequence through the normal progression of the missile from the factory to launch readiness status and missile countdown and launch. (Author)
