Evaluation Test Report of Overtorqued Tubing 'B' Nuts (No GD/A No.) and GD/A P/N 27-85107-157 Outlets (Thermodip Closure),
Abstract
This test had two separate objectives. The first objective was to determine the leakage rate from overtorqued representative samples of missile tubing connectors under the system operating conditions. Torquing was to continue until the 'B' nuts cracked. The second objective was to determine the minimum pneumatic pressure that would cause leakage past the Thermodip closure and the pneumatic surge pressure required to 'blow off' the Thermodip closure.
