Tables of Axial Velocities and Pressure Forces on a Flat Plate in a Simulated Propeller Field,

Abstract

Steady induced axial velocities were computed for a free propeller, represented by a generalized actuator disk. The axial velocities were computed for stations fore and aft of the propeller and at various radii. Once the velocity field had been defined the velocities were integrated along the axis of the propeller to give the pressure force per unit width on a flat plate. The points of concentration of the forces on the flat plate were also computed. Results of the computation are presented in tabular form. (Author)
