Small Scale Reactor Shielding,

Abstract

The paper on reactor shielding covers the following areas in nine chapters: biological shielding of reactors used in transport facilities, radiation sources of nuclear power plants, calculating neutron fluxes in biological shields for reactors, gamma-attenuation in shieldings, methods of calculating radiative heat release and capture gamma-radiation yield, methods for determining the optimal composition of biological shielding, optimization of thermal reactor shielding, borating of thermal shielding, and optimization of total reactor shielding.
