Guidance Error Analysis and Orbit Determination Accuracies for the Apollo Vehicle,

Abstract

The results of the error analysis presented shows the feasibility of the proposed Apollo vehicle. The assumed accuracy of the optical vehicle-borne tracker of 0.0003 radians would produce sufficient accuracy to accomplish the mission without aid of earth based trackers during the midcourse and lunar phases of the flight.
