Weather Shield Deflection and Tension Strap Pre-Load Test,
Abstract
The purpose of the test was to: Determine the deflection of the weather shields caused by an internal force acting radially outward; Determine if the weather shields were structurally capable of withstanding the outward force caused by an internal pressure of 4 psig; and Determine the additional load induced in the strap by outward forces exerted on the weather shields.
