Design Analysis Evaluation and Recommendation on a Large Overland Transporter System (LOTS).
Abstract
An equipment system capable of meeting the functional and operational performance needed for handling and transport of 156-inch and 120-inch diameter solid rocket segments or monolithic motors and the necessary platform to receive and support two (2) of the rocket segments with shipping containers for the purpose of transporting them within a launch area complex. This special technical report outlines the LOTS vehicle description, as built, and sets forth the more important analyses of the various systems, the power train, and the structure. (Author)
