Time Division Multiple Access and Coherent Array Systems.

Abstract

The report summarizes the results of work performed during the period 1 January 1967 to 31 December 1968. Major accomplishments of the work included (1) the development of technology for use in the instrumentation and design of efficient time division multiple access systems, (2) the evaluation and application of techniques for accurately calibrating the OSU terminal and for determining the link characteristics of selected IDCSP satellites, and (3) the analysis and implementation of a sequential beam coding system for cohering the transmissions from a multiplicity of terminals. Coherent reception techniques were also studied. (Author)
