Abstract

This multi-sectioned technical report describes RCA's detailed design recommendations for the Mallard secure, digital, automatic-switched communication system with single-channel access. This report represents the results of the 16-month period ending 20 February 1969. The basic parameters, characteristics, functional capabilities, and equipment are described as they evolved from the trade-off analyses conducted. Supporting cost-effectiveness analyses and budgetary life-cycle costs (for planning purposes) are also included. This volume (I) contains the complete Table of Contents, List of Illustrations, and List of Tables for the Entire Report. In addition, a Readers Guide, a Subject Index, a Bibliography, and a Glossary of Terms and Abbreviations are provided. (Author)
