A Formulation of the Aerodynamic Terms to Facilitate Missile Airframe Simulation,

Abstract

The report discusses a particular formulation for the angular rate independent terms in a missile airframe simulation. This formulation has proven useful for analog and hybrid simulations where normal force and/or moment coefficients are nonlinear functions of angle of attack. This approach would seem to be useful (i.e., save running time) on a purely digital simulation. (Author)
