Service Test of Calibration Device, Field Type, AN/UDM-2.

Abstract

Test objectives were to determine the suitability of the test item and its maintenance package for use by the Army. Testing, which was performed primarily under laboratory conditions due to AEC licensing restrictions, consisted largely of checking existing radiac instruments, previously calibrated with primary standards, against the AN/UDM-2. Instruments tested were the IM-9E/PD, IM-93/PD, IM-147/PD, IM-174/PD, IM-174A/PD, and the AN/PDR-27. The test items were operated 5,400 test cycles with cycles ranging from 2 to 8 minutes.
