Study of Flammability Limits of Oxygen Contaminated Helium for Pressurization of Systems Containing RP-1 Fuel,

Abstract

Missile damage has been caused in field test sites from explosions within portions of the fuel system. The possibility that some of these explosions could have been caused by the reaction of RP-1 fuel and air-contaminated helium was investigated. Results are presented in this report. (Author)
