Development of a Summary Report for Naval Gunfire Support Data. Volume III--Appendix D.
Abstract
This is an Appendix which covers those details of the program design and documentation required to assist a programmer in the actual writing of a program to extract from the Naval surface gunfire data base the information required for the proposed summary report and to output this information in the form needed for the production of the report. This Appendix is divided into four parts. Part I describes the algorithms that would be used to process the data. Part II presents the flow charts for the required computer program. Part III consists of tables of counters required in the running of the program, to permit an estimation of the core storage requirements. Part IV indicates the output buffers for the printer in a page-by-page, line-by-line presentation for an easy cross-reference with Appendix C (bound separately). The subsection numbering of Parts I, III and IV follows that of the sample proposed summary report (Appendix C, bound separately) for ease of cross-reference.
