Aeromagnetic Map of the Western Mediterranean,
Abstract
The aeromagnetic mapping program established by National Center for Scientific Research within the framework of Projects IV and V, provided for large-scale surveys over France, the western Mediterranean, and the Gulf of Gascogne. Aeromagnetic mapping of France and the continental shelf was completed in 1964 and 1965; a map for the northern part of the western Mediterranean was completed only recently. As was done previously for the aeromagnetic map of France, in this paper various aspects of the aeromagnetic mapping of the western Mediterranean are set forth and the accuracy of the results is discussed.
