The Comparative Detectability of pP at LASA, TFSO, UBSO, and CPSO.

Abstract

A study is made of the comparative detectability of later seismic phase arrivals, principally pP, using film data recorded at LASA, TFSO, UBSO, and TFSO. The results indicate that LASA is an equally-good or better coherent energy detector than a continental-sized network of a few stations, but, because of its small aperture, it is not as good an identifier of this energy.
